Las Vegas, was the starting point for our Western America Tour with an overnight stop at one of the Airport Hotels since we didn't want to start driving distances whilst our bodies were coping with jet-lag.
When planning the trip, we had considered a longer stay but with a finite amount of time for the trip and other locations ranking more highly on our visit list we did initially intend this city to simply be just a bed for the night. However, shortly before we set off, we decided it'd be short-sighted not to see "The Strip" since we were just down the road!
Our visit majored around the Bellagio & particularly the choreographed fountain display outside which you can see here. Perhaps had we stayed longer & not done our visit "downtown" well into what turned out to be around a 30+ hour day, we would have seen more, for there's certainly more to see. Oh, well, there's always next time!
